An Example of A Cover Letter

Letters are usually the most widely used form of communication. These had survived the technological progress and exist for the following reasons:

1. Writing letters does not require special equipment, so it is a cost-effective form of communication.

Even remote communication is possible with limited resources. This can be done at home or almost anywhere as long as paper and a writing material such as pen are available.

2. If the letter is to be used as advertising or promotional material, it can cover a much wider range of markets or consumers, since addresses are much easier to identify than personalized email addresses.

3. For purposes or for keeping records, letters represent a much simpler form of validation of information that may be stored and retained for future reference.

Cover letters, on the other hand, are mainly used to introduce a specific topic or idea.

This can be done either by writing normally on a sheet of paper or by encoding it in an e-mail message according to the regular format for writing letters.

The most common use of cover letters is as follows:

1. To send resumes for a specific job.

All application forms or CVs sent to an employer should include an accompanying letter expressing the intention of the sender to apply for a specific position.

2. Present a particular product or service that the sender wishes to convey or offer to the reader.

These are most often found in offers submitted or intending to join a particular offer. An overview of the product or service is discussed to grab the reader’s attention.

The main idea is to arouse the reader’s interest in considering the proposal submitted by the sender.
There are a variety of eye-catching cover letters. They all intend to instruct the reader to examine the attached proposal.

The following should be taken into account when preparing a good letter of application for a vacancy:

1. The introductory paragraph

This should indicate or explain your intentions when sending your resume. It would be a great help to specify where he or she heard about the said passage.

This may also include a brief overview of the background of the person or some personal information such as the degree or past post.

2. Middle paragraph

This is the part from which the individual indicates why he or she is interested in the said contribution. He or she should explain his / her sales arguments, e.g. For example, previous work experience that can be of great benefit to the job advertiser.

3. Close paragraph

The final section should indicate that the sender of the letter is available for an interview, or that the sender, at the request of the reader, would provide other information required by the reader.

I am looking forward to being part of the team of your good institution. If you have further questions, I would be in Vancouver next week and call your office to answer further questions. Many thanks.
